Dr. Berasi is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive training in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Surgery. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Cornell University where he also participated in athletics and was elected into the prestigious Red Key Society. Dr. Berasi attended medical school at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was elected into the Sigma Sigma Phi National Honorary Society.  He completed his Internship and Orthopedic Residency at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, he trained in Sports Medicine at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. Berasi also completed a fellowship in trauma at the AO/ASIF Facility in Neuchatel, Switzerland and received additional training in total joint replacement at Joint Implant Surgeons.

 

 Dr. Berasi has been the team physician for St. Francis DeSales High School since 1987. He has a particular interest in arthroscopic knee surgery, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, and joint replacement surgery.

 

Dr. Berasi served as Chairman of the New Albany Surgical Hospital Foundation and practices at the nationally ranked Mount Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital. He is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Berasi has served on the Board of Mount Carmel Hospital, the New Albany Hospital Management Company, and the Ohio Orthopedic Society.

 

Dr. Berasi resides in Powell, Ohio and continues to enjoy an athletic lifestyle participating in alpine skiing, hiking and golfing.
