Physician Bio

Watch Video

Dr. Rohl is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon fellowship trained in spinal surgery. He has a special interest in degenerative conditions and deformity of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Dr. Rohl incorporates minimally invasive techniques when appropriate. His philosophy is that surgery is sometimes necessary, but many times conservative treatment will help the patient’s underlying condition and overall quality of life. He feels we need to look at all factors to determine the most appropriate treatment course.

Dr. Rohl was born in western New York but later moved to central Ohio and graduated from Buckeye Valley High School. He stayed in central Ohio and attended Otterbein College in Westerville where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences. He attended medical school at the Ohio University of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his general internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Meridia South Pointe Hospital near Cleveland, Ohio. His interest in spinal conditions brought him back to Columbus, Ohio where he completed a Spinal Fellowship at OrthoNeuro. His fellowship involved multi-disciplinary treatment of spinal conditions including conservative as well as surgical intervention. After his fellowship, he returned to Cleveland, Ohio where he was in private practice for four years. He was a trainer of orthopedic residents and medical students while in Cleveland. He decided to return home to central Ohio and joined OrthoNeuro in July of 2005.

Dr. Rohl limits his practice to spinal reconstructive surgery including revision surgery, minimally invasive surgery and degenerative conditions. He works closely with his orthopedic and neurosurgical colleagues as well as the other members of the OrthoNeuro multi-disciplinary team. He maintains privileges at several area hospitals. He lives in Powell, Ohio with his wife Jacquie and their three children, Matt, Sydney, and Abby.

Very happy with the overall outcome of my surgery by Dr Rohl! Will recommend him to others!

Dr Rohl and his staff are incredible. They all are working with a truly caring heart And want to help you.

I am working with a BWC case for my neck. Dr. Rohl is a BWC orthopedic doctor. With his knowledge of orthopedic problems, along with his colleague , Dr Chen a neurologist are very knowledgeable of spine and nerve injuries.
There recommendations to BWC will hopefully get my neck problem fixed.

Excellent experience dealing with OrthoNeuro.
From the friendly front desk personnel, the x-ray techs, physician assistants and the surgical team the entire process was greatly appreciated.
Thank-you for turning a medical problem into the positive results that I experienced.
